InMotion Hosting has been in the web hosting business since 2001, and they are an employee owned and operated company. They are well known for their excellent support, and they offer a full range of web hosting plans, including shared hosting, VPS and dedicated server plans.
InMotion Business Class Plans
InMotion offers several shared hosting plans, including Value and Business class plans. For this review, I am going to look at their Business class plans as their Value plans are a little too limited for my type of usage.
InMotion has the typical features found in most shared hosting providers in this class so you will find the typical “Unlimited” diskspace and bandwidth that most other web hosts offer. With the Power package, you are limited to 6 sites on your account, and 50 MySQL databases. For most businesses, this should be fine, but it is a limit you should be aware of.
On nice feature that InMotion Hosting does give you is the choice of two different datacenters. Those near the West Coast, can use their Los Angeles datacenter while East Coast people can use their Washington D.C datacenter.
InMotion offers cPanel as its control panel of choice. If you aren’t familiar with cPanel yet, it is quite easy to use and allows you to easily manage your web hosting account to add domains, create MySQL databases, and install any scripts you might need. Unfortunately, InMotion does not offer SSH access for their Business class accounts, which is something I personally like having.
InMotion Customer Service
InMotion hosting support has been quite good in my experience. I’ve had tickets answered in less than 10 minutes which is very good. InMotion also has an excellent Live Chat app which is available 24/7 and a toll free support number if you prefer talking to someone in person.
At $7.95 a month for their Business class Power package, InMotion hosting offers good value for the money. Plus, they have an unheard of 90 day money back policy, so you have the opportunity to test their web hosting service for a full 3 months.
